Maryland Archeology is a scientific journal intended to present findings of archeological activities conducted across the state of Maryland. Archeological ethics and sensibilities have evolved considerably over the 60+ years of the journal's existence. Some articles may contain documentation of projects which involve discovery and/or evaluation of human remains, funerary materials or religious artifacts. The Archeological Society of Maryland, Inc. has made every effort to treat these topics with respect, however, persons perusing this Journal should be aware of the possible presence of descriptions or representations that may be part of the scientific research involved in understanding the human element of our studies.
