Maryland Archeology is a scientific journal intended to present findings of archeological activities conducted across the state of Maryland. Archeological ethics and sensibilities have evolved considerably over the 60+ years of the journal's existence. Some articles may contain documentation of projects which involve discovery and/or evaluation of human remains, funerary materials or religious artifacts. Issues of the journal with questionable content have been redacted where possible. Researchers who need access to this content are urged to contact the journal editor for further information. Redacted issues are identified with an asterix (*) next to the volume and issue name. The Archeological Society of Maryland, Inc. has made every effort to treat these topics with respect, however, persons perusing this Journal should be aware of the possible presence of descriptions or representations that may be part of the scientific research involved in understanding the human element of our studies.
